ShopRite of Union
Union Featured Story
ShopRite of Union partnered with the Captain Planet Foundation and Dole Foods to donate a Project Learning Garden to the Battle Hill Elementary School in Union. The Project Learning Garden program allows children to learn different disciplines covering nutrition, science, social studies, math and language arts. Students benefit by expanding their palates, taste-testing healthy foods and learning about food origins. Students also get to engage in science field investigations in the garden and manipulate the environment to understand math in real-life applications. They can even recreate historical activities and write about their experiences through the learning garden program.
