Rio Grande Featured Story
Two associates of the ShopRite of Rio Grande were honored for their efforts in the annual Partners in Caring campaign, with an in-store ceremony and the unveiling of special edition Cheerios boxes, featuring pictures of those individuals. Beverly Nixon and Jennifer Ashbridge were recognized for their roles in helping to raise $9,857 for community charities, including local food pantries, in the ShopRite of Rio Grande’s Partners in Caring fundraiser.

ShopRite of Rio Grande is proud to participate in the ShopRite Partners in Caring Program to help fight hunger in your local community. With the help of our generous shoppers we were able to donate $10,000 in 2017 to the following local organizations:
- Bethel Commandment Church
- Caring For Kids
- Community Food Closet
- Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro
- Family Success Center
- Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurses
- Seaside Haven
- St. Raymond Church
Food Rescue Totals
ShopRite of Rio Grande is proud to participate in the Village Food Rescue Program. This program salvages food from our store that is safe for consumption but is ineligible for retail sale. In 2017 we were able to donate 83,386 pounds to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey to help address the critical needs for fresh and healthy foods.
